It’s a relatively quiet day here at rlslog, so I decided to keep the site busy as always with another music post. This time a “Best of” from US Death Metal band Suffocation. Personally I’m not a huge fan of “best of” compilations, but they can be very useful for someone who wants to start listening to a band which has released a lot of albums. It worked pretty fine, noone has complained. However, few hours later, VTY nukes that and releases a proper, although they still balance at being scene banned or not. The reason is a virtual machine used in RLD’s crack, which means less performance in the game. During next week’s Super Bowl, viewers will be treated to an HD DVD commercial, but won’t see any mention of the competing Blu-ray format. The ad will feature Toshiba’s three lowest-priced players, the HD-A3, A30, and A35, and is the biggest advertising move for any high-def disc medium to date, reports Home Media Magazine. According to industry reports, the 30-second TV spot is expected to run Toshiba nearly $3 million. It is a crucial move that Toshiba hopes will bring consumers to HD DVD instead of Blu-ray, which has a significant early lead in the format war.
After PreVails peice of junk release of First Sunday PreVail have come back with a semi decent Cam of the movie 27 dresses. Qualitywise it is ok but not the greatest so grab it if you want but i’m waiting for a better one.
HooKah today released the first CAM of the movie Meet The Spartans which is another movie that takes bits from other movies such as 300 and pokes fun at them. When I first watched the sample I thought the quality was pretty good but some people disagree with the release being Nuked: bad.res_not.mod16. As per usual I suggest waiting for a better copy I doubt you will be missing anything great because its only got 2.6 on IMDB and even worse 3% on RT.
The American Super Bowl XLII (42) is set to be broadcast next weekend Feb 3rd. The New England Patriots (16-0) will be facing off against the New York Giants (10-6) at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The half-time show is nothing that our generation would care about, as Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers perform. With the posting of this greatest super bowl commercials 2008, I wanted to take the chance to prepare those in advance for when the super bowl has finished airing.
Snow Buddies, not much info on this one but I know that this flick is about talking puppies who are going to participate in a race on Antartica.. a typical popcorn flick for the younger ones (it’s Disney, so they’ll like it). Released one weeks ahead the retail DVD.
