A fairly popular futuristic action game Gears of War was enhanced by new update. Released by ViTALiTY, this is a rather small patch fixing just a few minor glitches and bugs. There’s no notice that you would need update #1 before installing this one, so it should also work on the genuine installation without any patches.

Changelog:

* VGA Cable Support: Monitor resolution widths greater than or equal to 1280 now render as letterbox. In particular VGA users running at 1280×1024 will now see the game in full 720p (1280×720) resolution in letterboxed form.
* Adjusted Assassination Multiplayer Gametype: Leader no longer has to unlock weapons and now has to be executed to die.
* Adjusted Boomshot: Splash damage to be more effective rendering targets down-but-not-out
* Adjusted Hammer of Dawn: Aiming will be more forgiving of moving targets
* Adjusted Roadie Run: Reduced frequency of accidently grabbing cover while running
* Kill Message Ticker: Ticker can now be seen while down-but-not-out and spectating
* General: Addressed a number of possible exploits in multiplayer

Microsoft Corp said on Thursday it plans to cut prices of its Windows Vista operating system sold at retail outlets in a move aimed at pushing customers to switch to the newest version of Windows. The world’s largest software maker said it plans to lower retail prices for Vista in 70 countries later this year in tandem with the shipment of the first major update to Vista, known as Service Pack 1 (SP1). Packaged versions of Windows Vista sold at stores and on the Web account for less than 10 percent of all licenses of the dominant Windows operating system that sits on more than 90 percent of the world’s personal computers. Most consumers opt to buy a new PC, which comes preloaded with the latest version of Windows.

“We anticipate these changed will provide greater opportunities … to sell more stand-alone copies of Windows,” said Brad Brooks, a Microsoft corporate vice president. In the United States, Microsoft will reduce prices for Windows Vista Ultimate, the company’s top-end operating system, to $319 from $399 for the full version and cut the price for an “upgrade” version to $219 from $259 for consumers who already run Windows XP or another edition of Vista. It also cut prices for upgrade versions of Vista Home Premium, its mainstream product, to $129 from $159. The price cuts vary by country. This price cut may be a good news for users who have problems with their illegal copy after recent security update.

Since the bad quality p2p workprint arrived late December 2007, there has been a TS and scr both nuked, since they were stolen from the p2p source which had all the problems of a bad rip to begin with. And the wait for the DVDRip was not too long either, because the store date is set a few weeks ahead on March 11. MEMETiC is an unfamiliar group to me, but they have 136 releases with only 2 that were nuked. Further adding to the ‘real’ DVDRip quality of this release has been no nukes yet, and comments I have read about the release do not seem to indicate any glitches.

SG-1 searches for an ancient weapon which could help them defeat the Ori, and discover it may be in the Ori’s own home galaxy. As the Ori prepare to send ships through to the Milky Way to attack Earth, SG-1 travels to the Ori galaxy aboard the Odyssey. The International Oversight committee has their own plans and SG-1 finds themselves in a distant galaxy fighting two powerful enemies.

I knew a “Proper” would appear sooner or later for this game but I thought it would come from ViTALiTY, but to my surprise well known group FLT have pred it. Nuke reason is “ [crack.not.working.on.vista.x64]“ which I don’t think affects too many people. If you have the original RELEOADED release just get the crack alone and save your bandwidth. German scene group POSTMORTEM released a minor gaming title Mofa Racer. It’s almost impossible to find any English info about this game, but although it’s mainly Deutsch game, it contains other languages including English as well. Anyway, if you like motorcycles and racing, this could be a simple game to kill some time. I was unable to find any actual images from the game so if someone stumbles over any screenshots, please post them in comments.
