Arch Enemy - Rise Of The Tyrant (Promo) (2007)

28 07 2007

Death Metal. A kind of music which I personally can not listen to - but there are many people who like this shouting and screaming, so we cover it for you. This Swedish-German metal band Arch Enemy is little special among similar bands: they actually have a girl “singing” with them, which isn’t that common. Their new album Rise Of The Tyrant should be a bomb in terms of this music genre, and what’s more, its official release date is scheduled to the end of the September, so you can listen it here with a really great advance.

According to an unconfirmed report by Hall of Metal, Arch Enemy have set “Rise of the Tyrant” as the title of their follow-up to 2005’s “Doomsday Machine”, tentatively due on September 25 via Century Media Records. The CD was produced by Fredrik Nordström at the new Studio Fredman in Hyssna, Sweden and will feature artwork by Niklas Sundin of Cabin Fever Media. This release comes as a satisfied end to the band’s scheduled eight-week stint at the notorious metal factory, where they recorded.

Vocalist Angela Gossow previously stated about the upcoming LP, “I experimented quite a bit with doubling vocal lines on the last album, which I now feel kind of took personality and vocal attack away. So this time it’s the classic, one-vocal-track, no-frills, no-effects approach.” This album has Arch Enemy reuniting with Nordström, who last worked with the band on 2001’s breakthrough “Wages of Sin”. “Fredrik produced that record and I think the material we have is a little bit more in that vein,” guitarist Michael Amott told Decibel magazine. “It’s more intense than what we’ve seen on the last couple of albums. We went back a little bit to what we did on ‘Burning Bridges’ and ‘Wages of Sin’, with more riffs, more melodies, a bit more stuff going on, more action-packed.”

Arch Enemy is a Swedish melodic death metal band, formed in 1995 by ex-Carcass guitarist Michael Amott. The band have released six studio albums, a live album, two EPs, and a DVD (Live Apocalypse) The band was originally fronted by Johan Liiva; frontwoman Angela Gossow joined as lead vocalist in 2001.
