Second new good-looking release from VoMiT is a drama “Brand Upon the Brain”. A little experimental movies adds some sci-fi elements and you can expect vampires and similar stuff as well. 95% at RottenTomatoes should be an enough proof of quality.

Guy Maddin (Sullivan Brown) reluctantly returns to his childhood home, an abandoned Canadian island, where his parents ran an orphanage. As Guy fulfills his dying mother’s request to paint the lighthouse which served as the orphanage, memories of strange events there overpower him. An undercover investigation by child author/detective Wendy (Katherine Scharhon) and a revolt by the repressed children, blew open a cover-up by Guy’s parents. Wendy disguised herself as her brother Chance and discovered that Maddin’s inventor father performed outré scientific experiments on the orphans. In black and white, with title cards, plus narration by Isabella Rossellini. In the film’s opening weeks, some showings included live narrators (such as Crispin Glover, Lou Reed, Barbara Steele), an orchestra, a castrato, and costumed sound effects techs.

Many of you already skipped this release when they saw VoMiT in the title, but this could be one of those rare exceptions - a movie, which is actually watchable. Don’t expect too much though, it’s a TV flick from ABC production which have never entered cinemas. Christmas Do-Over talks about a family which gathers around only at Christmas and tries to enjoy this special time, but something goes little wrong. Quality is pretty standard on 1 CD with English and Spanish subtitles. Oh and by the way, if you go to VCDQual to check the NFO, they somehow swapped the files and lists a THC site rules instead of this release. Someone won’t be happy.

It’s A Christmas Carol meets Groundhog Day in this ABC original TV movie starring Jay Mohr and Daphne Zuniga. Every day Kevin wakes up to relive the same Christmas Day over and over again: he rushes to the store for a last-minute gift for his son, then it’s off to his ex-wife’s house to drop off the gift and say hello before hitting the road. It’s driving him nuts, but can the Christmas spirit move him to change and break the never-ending cycle?

Guys from group FLAiTE did recently a really great job. After releasing a dvdrip of Transformers which became one of the most popular releases in last months, they are once again the first to spread a dvdrip of Shrek The Third, more than a whole month faster against the retail DVD date. The quality is 100% perfect and you would be crazy to miss this opportunity if you haven’t watched the film yet.

Being king isn’t for everyone - especially if you’re an ornery ogre who smells like the shallow end of a swamp. When Shrek married Fiona, the last thing he wanted was to rule Far Far Away, but when his father-in-law, King Harold, suddenly croaks, Shrek is quickly fitted for the crown. OK im tired so let’s get to the point, the INTERNAL tag that has been inserted into this release name is because NYSLVR know that the video is hard interlaced and so to avoid a nuke and thus lower the reputation of the group they internaled it (hilarious…). The result of the interlace makes this release pretty much unwatchable though. Check the video sample to see what i mean.

Pumpkinhead 4: Blood feud was previously avaliable as a DVDSCR from group FiCO, today however the movie was given a small bump up in quality with the release of the DVDRiP from the iNTiMiD guys and gals.

Plot: During a bitter family feud, Jodie Hatfield, (Amy Manson) and her boyfriend Ricky McCoy, (Bradley Taylor) decide to leave town to avoid being found out, but are soon caught in the act. Wanting vengeance, he seeks out the monster Pumpkinhead, and resurrects it seek revenge on the family. Despite being warned away by the ghost of Ed Harley, (Lance Henriksen) his vengeance plan starts out, and the Hatfield family is soon under siege by the powerful demon. Not accepting the legend of the creature and believing their arch-rivals are the real cause, the two families attempt to go to war, only to be stopped when Pumpkinhead attacks the Hatfield house. Putting aside their differences, they band together to stave off the creature before it’s vengeance pact is completed.
