Animosity made their debut in 2003 with an album called Shut It Down. The band consists of members from the age of 20-21. Genre is deathcore which I never have heard of, but I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of drums and guys screaming. If it’s not then feel free to post a comment as I will consider d/l it.

A lot has happened since the summer of 2005 when Animosity released their Black Market Activities debut Empires. The group has established themselves playing hundreds of shows in at least a dozen countries, sold 10,000+ CDs, garnered over a million plays on Myspace, and sold thousands of shirts. Musically, Animal shows an enormous progression from their prior releases. The bands sound has become more distinct and refined. While stylistically the group has not changed drastically from their combination of thrash, hardcore and death metal, the growth in the actual quality of the musicianship is unbelievable. The album is completed by the production of Kurt Ballou (Converge) at God City Studios and is beautifully illustrated by artist, Paul Romano (Mastodon, Trivium). Animal is a guitar riffers dream. The album is jam packed with Frank Costas Slash-like solos interspersed tastefully between the blasting and thrashing. Not to take anything away from the mind-blowing, wild, drum-stylings of Navene Koperweis or the jazz-fusion inspired bass licks of the bands newest member, Evan Brewer who had previously done time in the progmetalcore band, Reflux.

I’m no fan of rock except a few exceptions, but anyway this will probably interest the ‘wiser’ generation since he was known in the late 1950s.

John Cameron Fogerty is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist (wish I could multitask like that). On top of all these things he also plays ten different instruments! He is well known for his time with the band Creedence Clearwater Revival. Today he is 62 years old and has just released his latest album.

John’s new album is a triumph, with a sound that is at once timeless yet urgently rooted in this time and place. The lyrics recall a continuous conversation with America, a reminder of John’s unmatched ability to resonate with people from all walks of life. I thought she quit singing but i guess not (damn) JLo’s 5th english studio album Brave  is being released this month (yay!:|). I’ve never liked any of JLo’s songs but then again i haven’t listened to many. If you find this is your kind of music then go ahead and get this!

MTV News reports that the album will see Lopez return to pop, R&B and hip-hop sounds. Speaking to MTV News about the album, Lopez said: “I’m really excited about it. The first single will be out this summer. And, you know, it’s very different from my Spanish album. My Spanish album was kind of an opportunity to get away from what I do on my English [albums], to kind of express a different side of myself.” She continued: “This [next] album is more of what people and my fans are used to - you know, just kind of dance, funk, R&B, hip-hop, all that stuff, all mixed up together to make some great pop music.” A slow song called “Wrong When You’re Gone” leaked onto the Internet in July. It was confirmed on July 30 to Yahoo UK, that Lopez’s new album will be called, Brave and will be released October 8 in the UK and October 9 in the US. Two singles will be released in the U.S.; “Hold It, Don’t Drop It” will be allocated to pop stations while “Do It Well” will be sent to urban stations. Recently, a snippet of a song titled “Mile In These Shoes” was featured in a promo for season four of the ABC series Desperate Housewives.

Well I thought I’d start by saying some stuff about me. My name is Christopher aka Doffy (yes I know Doffy looks nothing like Christopher, but it is actually a nickname here in Norway). Of course I love computers or otherwise I wouldn’t be here. My main interests are gaming and fixing computers. I also love music (who doesn’t), the genre’s I prefer are symphonic metal and commercial trance (which some people would call dance). I’ll be a new music editor here at Releaselog.

This album was released on September 26th, 2007 and has been up for quite some time now (5 or 6 days to be exact), but here the release details are, better late then never.

Finish symphonic power metal band Nightwish, released their most powerful album ever entitled Dark Passion Play. After firing their former singer Tarja Turune they are back with a talented singer from Sweden by the name Anette Olzon. You can read more about this album in our previous article here.

There hasn’t been any music posts from me lately because i’m been busy with a few things at the moment but i should be back to posting music soon. In the meantime there’s a new album from Dashboard Confessional called The Shade of Poison Trees. Their whole album is put on their Myspace page so if your curious about their music you can have a listen before you get the album.  The album is out in stores today if anybody is interested in buying it.

Dashboard Confessional is an American band, led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Chris Carrabba, from Boca Raton, Florida, USA.

Dashboard Confessional announced they will be releasing their fifth studio album on October 2nd called The Shade of Poison Trees. Currently on their MySpace, they have posted the entire new album The Shade of Poison Trees for streaming.

During an interview with Billboard, posted on September 11, 2007, Carrabba stated that he is 14 tracks into what would be the sixth studio album. He is also unsure about when it would be recorded, but plans to have 30 tracks to draw from. It may be a concept album: “only with the last three has it become, like, ‘All right, these have a continuity and there’s something going on,’ so I’m excited to see where that leads.” he also stated that the album would not be released for sometime since he has an obligation to promote The Shade of Poison Trees.

There’s no need to remind many of you of this name: Chaka Khan may be unknown to MySpace generation, but it will surely be pretty familiar to older of you. The lead singer of R&B band Rufus releases another new album now and you can get it with an amazing 2 month advance.

Well known Finnish band are releasing their sixth album “Dark Passion Play”. It is scheduled for release on September 26, 2007. As this is a promo it has voice overs all over the album so this may not be the perfect copy to get…it might be a good idea to wait until theres a better release unless your a really big fan of Nightwish then go ahead and enjoy.

Dark Passion Play is the upcoming sixth studio album from Finnish symphonic power metal band Nightwish. It is scheduled for release on September 26, 2007 through SpinefarmSeptember 28, 2007 through Nuclear Blast and Roadrunner Records. It is band’s sixth studio album and the first album to feature the band’s new lead vocalist, Anette Olzon, and the first without former vocalist Tarja Turunen, due to her departure in October 2005. Dark Passion Play will be the band’s first studio album in three years, the longest non-album gap in their history.

The first single from the album, “Eva,” was released on May 25, 2007 as a download-only single. The income of the single will be donated to children’s charity (Finland: familyhomes “Viliina” and “Tiaisen Pesä”; the rest of the Europe: “Die Arche”). On August 22, about a month before the album’s release, a second single entitled “Amaranth” will be released. The third single of the album will be “Bye Bye Beautiful”, but the date of the release is still unknown.

The band is cooperating with the London Session Orchestra and Metro Voices Choir, as they did for Once. They are also working with several guest musicians—band founder, keyboardist and main songwriter, Tuomas Holopainen, commented that people might be wondering what’s going on with all the musicians running to and from the recording building in London. The first information about the album and its singles was revealed on February 19 on the band’s official website. The title and artwork were revealed on June 13

Reggae artist Elephant man comes back with a brand new album “Let’s Get Physical”. Most people may not know Elephant man that well as he hasnt made an album for 4 yrs now but for those who listen to hip hop/reggae should know him very well. Elephant Man, also known as The Energy God, (born O’Neil Bryan on September 11, 1975 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a dancehall musician.

His stagename stemmed from his large ears, which led to the nickname Dumbo in his youth. “Ele” started out his musical career as a member of the Scare Dem Crew, later continuing as a solo artist. He was later characterized for several trademarks, such as his yellow-orange hair, his unique low-key voice and his stage performance, which included jumping and running, or even climbing on stage props and monitors. His acoustic trademark is marked by a light lisp.

Here’s the soundtrack for the third “Bourne” movie by musician John Powell. The movie is out in cinemas on August 3, 2007 in the U.S. and August 16 in the U.K and Ireland. I very much enjoyed watching the first two movies and cannot wait to watch this in cinemas. A real reggae legend Bob Marley still attracts many music producers and his songs are very often subject to various remixes and special sets. A famous music scene group uF came out with another sweet release: a bonus DVD content of Sum 41’s Underclass Hero. Album released just few days ago was fifth in the history of this punk rock band. This released contains two extra songs featured on the Bonus DVD. They are both live tracks from concerts.

Underclass Hero is Sum 41’s fifth overall studio album and the first to be released without former guitarist Dave Baksh. The album was released on July 21, 2007. It will be released under the Island Records label and distributed worldwide by Universal Records, and in Canada by Aquarius Records. The title’s similarity to John Lennon’s hit “Working Class Hero” is not a coincidence, according to the band’s front man Deryck Whibley, who in an interview with Sun Media claimed Lennon as his favorite songwriter. Underclass Hero is over ten minutes longer than any previous Sum 41 album. This is a result of there being a total of fourteen tracks (plus one hidden track) compared to the set of twelve or thirteen the band has used before. Mostly however, the length is due to a majority of the songs being much longer than the usual three minutes existing on preceding full-lengths.

Gym Class Heroes has got to be one of my favorite bands right now, they have released a new single “Clothes Off” which you can watch from youtube. The single is from their album “As Cruel As School Children” which i think is a great album because its nothing I’ve heard before, their music has a mix of Hip Hop and Rock but is rooted mainly from hip hop. I think everybody should check out this single it’s great but isn’t one of my favorites. I recommend getting the album from here or go buy it, you will enjoy it!

“Clothes Off” is the fifth single from Gym Class Heroes’ third album, As Cruel as School Children. It features Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, although the song doesn’t give credit to him. It was released in June of 2007. The original hook for the song is from Jermaine Stewart’s 1986 single “We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off”. Rapper Mase also recorded a song with the same chorus on his album Welcome Back. British pop punk artist Lil Chris is to release another version of the song sometime in 2007^.
