Indian Americans in Hollywood
3 05 2007
A clear proof of acceptance of a culture or an ethnic group in
a different country is when you start seeing characters from
that community on the silver screen or on teevee. I am not
talking about caricatures or stereotypes, although those are
just stages before anything becomes mainstream (actually there
is one more step, the token guy). Indian characters are still
not mainstream, but they have a come a long way from Apu of
Simpsons to Mohinder of Heroes.
