Solo is a crime thriller with actors who will be probably unknown for many people, but these actors are very popular in Australia. This movie also won few prizes and competitions in Australia. In SOLO, the first film to come out of Project Greenlight in Australia, COLIN FRIELS plays Barrett, a hit-man for the Sydney mob but, after his latest assignment, which involves dismembering a corpse and dumping the pieces in the harbour, he wants to quit, to retire. Easier said than done. Though the Wood Royal Commission is breathing down the necks of the criminals, Barrett’s boss, Reno, Linal Haft, refuses to accept his resignation. And the crooked cops, led by Keeling, Vince Colosimo, are equally determined that Barrett can’t quit. Barrett is ordered to do one more job: eliminate a young student, Billie, Bojana Novakovic, who is writing a thesis on organised crime and who is getting too close for comfort.
