Group iLS released this classic film today. You should know who Anne Frank is, because if you don’t you should probably start doubting your general history knowledge. Anne Frank is famous for her diary, which she wrote as she was locked up in the attic with her family, during the nazi occupation of Holland. The diary which was later published has since become world famous and has let us understand what those times were like for Jews in war torn Europe. The Attic: The Hiding Of Anne Frank originally aired on TV in 1988 but a DVDRip has now finally been released thanks to iLS. I recommend everyone should watch this, because its so easy to forget something which happened less than 70 years ago.

Quality: The quality of this release looks very good considering this is a release from 1988. Naturally this is not in widescreen and the colours are not as bright and saturated as we have become used to with modern films, but altogether a very nice rip from iLS.

During the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam, Otto Frank decides to hide his family, who are Jewish, after his daughter Margot is called to appear for transport to a Nazi labour camp. Miep Gies, Otto Frank’s office assistant hides them in the attic above the office. The film tells the true story of Gies’ struggle to keep the family hidden and safe, as the Nazis turn Amsterdam upside-down. Based upon Gies’ memoirs and Anne Frank’s famous diary.
